General Accountability

TO2015 Streetside is an Arts and Culture event that will provide the public with an exciting opportunity to learn more about the TO2015 Games, through a travelling display of Pan American music. These events will take place over three consecutive weekends in August at locations throughout the Greater Golden Horseshoe. The TO2015 Streetside Ambassador will engage with local communities and help promote the upcoming Toronto 2015 Pan Am/ Parapan Am Games. Responsibilities may include: distributing promotional materials to the public, monitoring the event area, providing assistance to musicians during performance and event set-up/tear-down. This position will provide volunteers the opportunity to work alongside TO2015 staff and talented musicians while participating in an exciting cultural celebration.

Key Job Responsibilities
Promote TO2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games.
Interact with the public and respond to general inquires related to the TO2015 Pan Am / Parapan Am Games.
Educate local communities about the Streetside engagement, including future performance locations and dates.
Distribute Streetside and TO2015 promotional materials.
Monitor and secure the performance area including equipment and vintage trucks.
Assist TO2015 staff with additional requests, as needed.

Personal Requirements
Interest in being part of the cultural celebration leading up to the Toronto 2015 Pan Am / Parapan Am Games.
Interest in live music and cultural engagements.
Outgoing personality with strong public speaking and communication skills
Professional, responsible and punctual.
Exercise flexibility and adaptability.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work irregular hours, and weekends.

Preference will be given to those candidates who can commit to a minimum of 4, five hour shifts.
